The revolution is now.

It all began in Bangladesh.

On 24 April 2013, the Rana Plaza building collapsed killing 1,138 people and injuring a further 2,500. Many of the victims were poorly-paid garment workers who lost their lives manufacturing clothing for global brands. In the aftermath of the tragedy, Fashion Revolution was born, calling for a complete overhaul of the way we consume fast fashion.

It's on us to...

make a difference. For the second year running, we’ve created a special awareness-raising Fashion Revolution Week T-shirt, produced fairly and sustainably of course. 100% of the profits from the sales will be donated to the National Garment Workers Federation (NGWF) in Bangladesh again.

Why the NGWF?

From ensuring workers’ wages to enforcing changes: The NGWF supports Bangladeshi garment-industry workers with legal aid, organised protests and government petitions.

With your help, we raised 3,125 EUR in 2018.

This went towards 253 resolved grievances, 170 case filings, 55 resolved cases and 597 ongoing case hearings. Resolting in a total financial worker benefit of 104,586 EUR.

How we assure our workers’ safety in 3 steps:

Internal Due Dilligence Check & Self-Assessment of Social and Ecological Standards resulting in  a performance report
Internal Initial Assessment of Social and Ecological Standards resulting in a Corrective Action Plan (CAP)
External audits by Fair Wear Foundation, Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Fairtrade, and third party audits

We only work with partners who we trust to deliver fair wages and decent working condititions. That way, we can ensure transparency and traceability at any stage of production.

“The collapse of Rana Plaza was one of the greatest industrial disasters of all time, sending shockwaves throughout the entire clothing industry. For perhaps the first time, consumers saw the true horror of the working conditions that enabled the rock-bottom prices they had become accustomed to, and just like me, they were appalled.”
